Our payment oversight system is designed to protect your booking experience by ensuring that funds are only released once your accommodation matches the advertised standard. This approach builds trust between guests and hosts, while maintaining transparency across every transaction.
🔒 How Payment Oversight Works
When you book through Staivo, your payment is securely routed to the property owner’s verified account. However, it’s not released immediately. Instead, it’s placed under a 6-day oversight period — a safety buffer that ensures your accommodation matches the listing’s photos, description, and promised amenities.
- Secure Hold: Payments are held for 6 days after check-in.
- Guest Satisfaction First: During this time, guests can report any major discrepancies or issues.
- Verified Listings: Each property is assigned a unique apartment code that activates oversight protection.
- Host Agreement: All hosts agree to this oversight as part of their onboarding and listing terms.

Unlike platforms that process payments instantly, Staivo’s oversight gives guests time to verify that their stay meets expectations. It’s a proactive safeguard that helps prevent disputes, builds confidence, and ensures fairness for both sides.
📋 What Guests Need to Know
- No Action Required: Oversight is automatic — you don’t need to activate or request it.
- Report Issues Promptly: If something doesn’t match the listing, notify Staivo within 24–48 hours of check-in.

💡 If Your Payment Doesn’t Show Up
Bank-to-bank transfers are generally reliable, but if your payment hasn’t been confirmed within 24 hours, here’s what to do:
- Check your transfer receipt to ensure the correct account and amount were used.
- Include your Apartment Code in the payment reference. This code links your payment to your booking.
- Email your receipt and Apartment Code to billing@staivo.com for fast confirmation.
This step helps us protect your reservation and ensures your payment is safely linked to the correct property.
🏡 Host Transparency & Payouts
Hosts receive payouts only after the oversight period ends and no disputes are raised. This ensures accountability and encourages accurate listings. Hosts also agree to refund or resolve any verified issues in line with Staivo’s Terms & Conditions.
